2. Welling Modell Club 40th Anniversary, Welling, Kent

4. BMSS Nationals Annual Show,  Holiday Inn, Coram Street, London

Great weekend indeed - FigureWorld 2013, Oundle

It was trully great weekend. Just the right combination of chatting with friends, and strangers, admiring beautifuly painted miniatures and spending hard earned money on new goodies.
I wish events like this could happen more often than just once a year, especially in such a beautiful little town like Oundle. But, considering the amount of work that is required to organize, I guess it's not gonna be possible...
So all that is left to do now is... say massive thanks to all those who dedicated their time and efforts to make it possible.

Of course as I predicted, I didn't manage to take any decent photos, but here you can find some photo galleries prepared by other participants
FigureWorld's gallery
Model Display Product's gallery
Ross Mahoney's gallery

BMSS Nationals - London 28/04/2012

The day before yesterday I was at BMSS annual show in center of London.
British Model Soldier Society is a bunch of very friendly people with a common interest in historical miniatures, mostly soldiers.
But they were kind enough to let all the fantasy painters to take part in their competition in one of the non-military categories.
I was lucky enough to pick up two trophies: Silver for Andrea's miniature, Menhom Dark Shadow, and bronze for JMD's bust - Anton the Infected.

If you want to see more bigger pictures of the minis, here they are:

Anton the Infected

Hussar 2K!! :D

I guess everything was allready said about that event so I'm just gonna post here links to galleries and reports:
Official page
Official gallery  -  my Anton isn't that green in rl (as you can see below)
Official report
Maru's photos  - I'm that redhead btw;p
Slawol's photos 1 - award ceremony
Slawol's photos 2

From me I can only add that I had a lovely time and it was a real pleasure to meet all those people, I know from CofC, in flesh. Social side of the event (which is the most important to me) was trully awesome:)

And I was lucky enough to bring one of the beautiful golden Hussarettes home.
My Anton won gold in Large Model category, and I'm really proud of him:)

The second mini, Yrsa the Accursed wasn't  lucky enough to even get the first cut, but to be fair, she didn't really deserved it anyway.

And don't forget that next Hussar 2012 will be next October!! So make a note in you diary, and  reseve some time for that event already:)

Euro Militaire - results

Hi there,

I'm back at home, even manged to catch some sleep, and now I can share with you my good news.
I entered 3 miniatures: Smart Max's Little Alice and Lord Marquis of Carabas, and Rackham's Eclipsante.
It was a competition with an open system of judging, and the results are:
Alice - Gold
Eclipsante - recomended
Marquis - nothing (he clearly didn't deserved, now I can see how much work he still requires)

I managed to take some pictures of entries, you can find them here.

Off we go:)

Weekend full of miniature wonders is ahead of me. I must say I'm really excited and expect quite a lot from Euro Militaire. It's gonna be my first such big event, so I have my camera and few sets of batteries ready.
And finger crossed the weather will be good, it's a seaside after all;]

Hussar 2011!

http://en.hussar.eu/

Biggest polish painting competition in just 50 days! For me it's time to panic and start working on my entries.
It's gonna be my first polish comp, so I'm quite nervous and I feel like I need to show my best skills (not to embarrass myself;p).
